DAMARIS CODREA

A visual journal of becoming

Squares of your Paris
a fragment of what
I call living
in this life.

What do you see?

I see what I cannot see.
A touch of myself.

I see some wings from heaven.
I see a street
a long street,
and a chain.

I see the walls and diamonds.
I hear the sound of dances,
closed inside my room.

I run my way.
I see the flowers.
I hold my hands
and see the colors
that fit behind the stairs.

My perfume lightens the walls
and changes the shape
of the diamonds.

I see another beat of color
passing through my gaze.

I feel.
I see.

I see the velvet
the velvet in your hair.

Take me for a walk,
and send me all wonders,
where I must breathe you
with another sip.

A sip to life.
A trip in time.
Another retreat.

A way to escape,
but no exit.

I breathe through the glass
and drink all my thoughts.

Where are my wings?
